My oldest son, Stephen Michael, loved Lake Powell. It was his absolute favorite place in the world! In 2009, he went there with his brothers, sisters and father. While there, he took a large dose of methadone, took a nap, and stopped breathing. He died in one of the canyons that was deep into the lake. They did CPR while heading for the Marina in the ski boat, just in case there was still life in him, but there wasn’t.
I believe that my son can now spend as much time at Lake Powell as he likes. Looking at these beautiful photographs, including the beautiful nudes, has given me a calm feeling. If he is down there, he is certainly appreciating the beauty of it, too, and that makes me smile!
